Primordial Sound Meditation Series
Meditation is a tool for settling the mind and bringing us to quieter and quieter levels of awareness. Primordial Sound Meditation is a technique that originated in India thousands of years ago. Primordial sounds--the basic sounds of nature--existing from the beginning of time, are used to disconnect us from the activity of life. These individualized sounds, known as mantras, are derived from the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth. Primordial Sound Meditation is a unique approach to meditation that is practical and easy to learn. This closed-group workshop will meet over the span of four weeks. During these sessions you will learn your personal mantra, how and why to meditate and how to establish a lasting, consistent practice. Session 1: Introduction to Meditation - stress - benefits - thoughts - mantras Session 2 (one-on-one): Receiving Your Personal Mantra - learn your mantra - practice using it Session 3: Perfecting the Practice - when and how - thoughts and experiences during meditation - expectations - value of meditation - group meditation Session 4: Higher States of Consciousness - waking, sleeping and deep sleep - higher states - group meditation Participants: 4 minimum, 12 maximum Instructor: Susan Haugenes |
