Facials
- Don't touch your face for the remainder of the day and not be tempted to irritate any acne that has been worked on by your therapist. Try not to wear much makeup, if any at all, for the rest of the day. Let your skin breathe!
- It’s unlikely that you’ll be leaving us with perfectly pore-less skin. In fact, you may experience a break-out in the days following a treatment. This is because facials pull the impurities deep within your pores to the surface; for some people, the skin gets worse before it gets better. Ultimately though, facials detox the skin; they can remove years of built-up sebum and dead skin cells from the pores, leaving your face feeling squeaky-clean.
- Follow your instructions from your esthetician for your custom product routine at-home.
- Don't eat oily foods within a two-day period around your service.
Waxing
NO sun exposure/tanning, abrasives, or exfoliation 24-48 hours after waxing.
Everyone's skin reacts differently to waxing treatments, but you can expect to have temporary redness and minor irritation for a day or two. Slight itchiness may be experienced as the hair grows out. Proper post-wax care will alleviate these symptoms quickly.
Regular waxing is essential...
Waxing reduces hair growth when performed every four weeks. While shaving crops the hair at the skin's surface, waxing pulls it out by the root, so it grows back softer, finer, and thinner. Waxing is great for those who are tired of the hassle of shaving several times per week. The more you wax, the less hair grows back.
The skin will be less sensitive as well, when performed every four weeks. Over time, with regular waxing, the hair follicle will have less and less of a grip on the hair to be pulled and the hairs will come out more easily.
Do not shave between waxing appointments. It disrupts the hair growth cycle resulting in more hair at your next appointment.
